Etsy Stock Take - Week Thirty

Etsy Stock Take - Week Thirty - Sunday Linky Party

Hi guys,

And another week goes by... In two weeks I'll be home and rummaging in my knitting basket I think! I'll start blogging a bit more regularly again then too...

The weather has been spectacular in central Europe, lots and lots of sun and around 30degrees C. I can't believe that I've been working full time through such a beautiful summer...

But I mustn't grumble, I have had some lovely relaxed moments with my family and I love to travel around :)

What creative pursuits have you been following this week? Did you find any vintage treasures? Please share!

Oh, and I have a question: Etsy people, would you like me to send you an email to let you know that the Esty Stock Take is live each week? I noticed a lot of bloggers do that, but I'm not sure if it would be a helpful reminder for you or just another spam email? Let me know in the comments section!

So, what have you been up to this week?

Shoppers of handmade stuff:

Scroll down for some more beautiful products made by some of my readers. Please visit their shops on Etsy and consider buying something! You'll be glad you did :)

Etsy Sellers:
Link up your items to get more exposure for your shop. You might be featured in the Best of the Week or Best of the Month features (and then you'll be tweeted and pinned!). Vintage is welcome too!

You have 2 options:

1. Bloggers:

Write a new post on your blog (telling us about your new items), mention the Etsy Stock Take and link back here so your readers get a chance to find the link up list (or add the button above).

Then link up using the Linky widget (where it says 'click here to enter') at the bottom of this post. Then we can find your blog :)

2. Link up directly to your Etsy shop:
Post a link that goes directly to your new items in Etsy using the Linky widget (where it says 'click here to enter') at the bottom of this post. You can put up as many as you want and we will see your images nice and big :)

It'd be lovely if you took a moment to go and check out some stuff that others post below - go shopping!

It seems that there have been some difficulties with the Linky widget. If you have problems, please let me know and I will give you a hand (my email).

Let's show our support for each other craftwise! I'm hoping that my goal of listing one item a week will be a powerful motivator and a source of exposure for us all.

Ciao!

Katz :)

Etsy Stock Take - Week Twenty-nine

Etsy Stock Take - Week Twenty-nine - Sunday Linky Party

Hi guys,

Well, I am sitting there and thinking wow! Week 28 of the Etsy Stock Take had 88 items linked up. That's a record. What a gorgeous post it is. It is very exciting for me to see such beautiful things on Life's Jewels on String.

I'm enjoying being away on this very intense work venture (not craft related) but I admit that I am counting the days until I get home and I can whip out my knitting needles. I miss knitting! Crazy. I brought some embroidery to do here, but it's a bit fiddly and not quite as relaxing...

Oh, and I have a question: Etsy people, would you like me to send you an email to let you know that the Esty Stock Take is live each week? Guest Post at the Artsy Ants.

Go and check it out at the Artsy Ants!
Wanna make an upcycled laptop cover from an old jumper? A little while ago I did just that!

It was a great simple project and when Sylvia at the Artsy Ants was looking for guest posts to help maintain the Anthill during her maternity pause I whipped out the photos and put together a tutorial. Go and take a look, Sylvia and Simona have a great creative blog at the Artsy Ants.

Lausanne, Switzerland.

Mont Blanc, over the fields and far away... (Look closely for the snowy peak)

1 green bottle lying on the ground...

Where I found the green bottle. Great view on either side! I didn't touch/position it at all.

I'm in Lausanne for a few weeks. It's a very pretty hillside city on Lake Geneva in Switzerland. I've been taking some pictures. I haven't had time or energy to edit them, but I don't wanna forget these images...

PS: Looking for the Etsy Stock Take? Check out the tab at the top of the page, you can find great handmade items, jewellery, bags, clothes etc. for sale. Need a meaningful gift? You'll find one at Etsy...

African Block Printed Fabric Top

Tah dah! Today I wore my new top, made from the African Block Printed Fabric that I bought last month. Who knew that the prints we think of as typically African were probably produced in Holland?!

My Nigerian friend made me this top and a very funky skirt from my material. I totally LOVE them, the print is so colourful and happy.

The skirt is a bit too long for me and needs shortening. However, I am on an extended trip away from home and so I will get a photo of the whole outfit, including the skirt, recorded in late August when I am home again and have some time to take the hem up!

What's your favourite item of clothing these days?

Etsy Stock Take - Week Twenty-seven - Sunday Linky Party

Hi guys,

What have you all been up to this week?

I've had a great week! We've been very mobile and seen some lovely things that central Europe has to offer. Beach, food and theme parks so far. Even a wedding :)

Will probably be a while before I get to crafting again, so let's enjoy what you have been up to instead!

Oh, and I have a question: Etsy people, would you like me to send you an email to let you know that the Esty Stock Take is live each week? Classic Cars: Fiat 500 in Liguria, Italy

I'm loving being in Italy! Vintage Fiat 500 in Liguria

This is one of my all time favourite classic cars. How can you not love it?!

In the background trombette are growing. They are a type of very long courgette (zucchini). Great roasted says my mother-in-law.

Further in the distance you can see the Alps where they come down south to meet the Mediterranean sea.

This is part of my photography project: Classic Cars. I now carry my camera wherever I go and I will collect pictures of vintage cars that I see while out and about. They just make me happy.
  1. Mini Cooper in Hamburg
  2. V.W. Beetle  in Hamburg
  3. V.W. Beetle with vintage skis in Hamburg
  4. Mini Cooper in Hamburg
  5. Vintage cars in the UK Winter 2012
  6. Renault 5 in Hamburg
  7. Classic cars in Sylt, Germany Spring 2012
  8. Classic American in Hamburg

LOVE classic cars!

Silk Knitted Lace Fascinator Hat.

Finally I've got round to sorting out this post!  It's the tah dah for the silk lace fascinator hat I've been working on for ages... It's finished and has gone to live with its new owner.

I have noted the several stages of this rather long project. You can find out more about the lace stages, here I started the lace (first time I ever knit lace!) and there's also an update on knitting the lace where you can also see the hat base more clearly.

I used a hat base and elastic head band that I ordered from Squirlgirl on Etsy. After blocking the lace (worked a treat, the leaves settled beautifully clear) I assembled the little hat. It was finished off with a nice felt lining (embroidered with my initials!).

For more info check out the project on Ravelry.

Do you appreciate shopping handmade? Then come and have a look at the Etsy Stock Take and see what my blog readers have been up to!
