Making Winter: Strawberries

I'm enjoying following along with Silverpebble and Thriftyhousehold while they 'make winter'. I think it's a good idea to share positive vibes as the winter thing can be quite an issue. Especially for us as we have transplanted ourselves from sunny Swiss winters to cloudy Hamburg ones.

I'm not sure if this counts as a winter photo, but a couple of days ago I found these! Winter Strawberries! (well, autumn technically...)

They made me smile and I was so happy that I decided to carry my camera with me at all times. Hurrah!

  1. How strange to see strawberries at this time of year! Would you like to add your link to our linky list at the bottom of the post? Then everyone can come and visit!

  2. Just come over from Silverpebble - I have deep strawberry envy now! And all I could rustle up for Making Winter were some pumpkin seeds . . .

  3. I love that, so different from all the autumn colours. If you're looking for positive vibes there'll be more on Planet Penny on Thursday when I do 'Reasons to be Cheerful'. I don't normally do blatant plugs, but you sound as if you'd enjoy it!

  4. I had a confused rose a few weeks ago- not quite the same league as a confused strawberry though...

Thanks for joining in the Making Winter Project!

  6. What a treat! We had our first hard frost last night and I'm afraid to look at what flowers I still had blooming. A great idea to carry your camera always. I am trying to develop the habit because of course when one sees the most beautiful things one doesn't have the camera. A kind of Murphy's law of beauty.
